Fire Risk Assessments

The Regulations (The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005) state that all working premises require a Fire risk assessment.

Failure to have a Fire risk assessment (FRA) is breaking the law and potentially could result in the responsible person of the company receiving a fine, or worst case scenario a prison sentence.

The importance of a Fire risk assessment is critical as it is a means of protecting lives within your business premises but also assist to a lesser extent in protecting the building itself.

SSS will arrange at a convenient date and time to carry out an inspection of your premises, the inspection will review the premises, the work operations being carried out, the employees within the premises, adjacent neighbours, the surrounding area, the materials being stored on site, the existing fire escapes. At some point during the inspection we will require some time with yourself to enable ourselves to obtain a greater understanding of your premises and the companies activities.

A full Fire risk assessment and report will be completed detailing all the findings and making you aware of any recommendations requiring action to ensure full compliance with the Fire Safety Order.
